Mini Protos recommended vstabi

Hi.

I built new stretchet 6S Mini Protos with vstabi Silver and VBC. But my tail is not good. Tail is waging, doesnt matter what gyro gain it have. Also I tryed few setting with diferent lenght of servo horn and servos. Mechanical setup of tail is clear and smooth, tail limits are 95 bouth. It looks like tail rotor is not strong enough. So my question is, is Silver good for so small heli? Should I use Vstabi Mini?

regards

Michal.

There is no sigificant difference in the tail algorithm.

Well, if changing the parameters does not change much, there is another reason that avoids a smooth operation. This may be too much vibration, or most common too much play or to much stickyness of the tail control. Servo may be an issue as well. Statics is a very common problem on belt drives, which can give similar problems.

So please giver more input which components, maybe a pic to judje the situation etc.

Hi Uli.

Thank you for your answer. I checked vibration before, forgot to mention it, there is no vibration. All is new, heli and Vbar too. Also I used 2 different servos 1. Turnigy TGY-306G-HV ... should be some clone of MKs 95i and 2. Futaba 9257 ... no change in tail behavior. Tail is all from aluminium from Linx very smooth no play, rebuilded it twice just to be sure. Sensor is sticked by original VBAR foam tape on tail boom. Main unit is under main gear.

Static ... I am not sure Uli, because belt is connected with motor pinion, so static should be grounded in motor I think. But I will make separate cable to ground tail with motor base plate.

I have to wait for spare parts, then will let u know.

Regards

Michal

So after few days of testing (different mini Protos ... just to be sure that vstabi is ok, 3x different tail servos, antistatic upgrade) I finally found problem in tail rotor. As I said I checked tail few times and all was smooth, solid, no play. But when I used different tail grips all problems disappeared. I am still not sure what is wrong, I checked bearings inside grips and all look ok. Something must change during flight, when tail is under load, but it should be another topic. Vbar is working very good, thank you for support.
