I wondered if you could tell me if the the new batch of Glogo’s are going to have all the issues with the frame holes and what not fixed, I had one of the first batch Glogos and as much as I loved it, the way it went together wasn’t great. I’m really wanting another, but need to know if all these issues will be sorted. I saw the update Kyle did when he introduced the logo 200. Also has, or when is the new batch due.

Hi Mikado and Kyle,

I am building the Glogo and I faced problem,

It is so hard to slide the Main gear+one way bearing into the 3rd bearing block as instructions, I have to push the main gear, with strong force, using ETO tool, to force the one way bearing to the 3rd block, so there is next problem, installing the main gear to the frame is impossible, I have to remove all screws around the tail to expand the frame to push the maingear+oneway+3rd bearing block(now is one piece).

Is this diameter of bearing is too small or the tolerance of the one way bearing? With this error, to remove/replace one way + main gear, I have to remove a lot of screw then remove the 3rd bearing block(include one way+ bearing attach). The one way bearing is sharing part with Logo 690SX (#4876), I do not have problem with one way bearing of Logo 690SX, it slides easily to counter bearing support plate.

Another thing need to improve,
The canopy mount bolt is too short, in the manual, it said insert 3x washer, why not produce the canopy mount increase 2.5mm so no need washer? It look very ugly when stack 3 washer like this.(picture 3,4)

Also why not move the canopy mount bolt upper position, where there is lock nut, which just design to hold the anti rotation servo swash?(picture #5), I also shorted the thread rod, it is too long, not necessary and ugly.

Thank you

i have my glogo since it came out from the first batch
and i still cant fly it, first it was the starter adapter than a tail problem that i still have.

i was pissed on that heli so didn't touch him for few months
the tail system work flawless i noticed when i turn the starter shaft with my hand its very hard to turn both ways so i gave it to a friend with the oneway bearing and he took care of it now it fits right and free turn in my hand.

but again the tail kick but much less than before

my conclusion that the engine sit a little bit higher in the air frame.

if i ask mikado for a new air frame do you think they will help?

after all its very expensive kit and i dont want to modify my air frame. im not sure i can do it good enough and they already did it with the first batch, i dont want to drill it any more.

I realize that this is the Glogo forum but I cannot figure out where to ask about Neo/Governor Sensor issues.

I just switched from Futaba to VBar Touch/Neo, after 43 years with Futaba stuff.
I could not get the Neo to read the OS55HZ-R BPS-1 backplate sensor at all.
Per MikadoUSA Tech Guru, Ronald Thomas, I had purchased a Spektrum BPS and installed it. This setup produced checksum error logs without working also.
I switched black and red in the Spektrum sensor. The system then did not even indicate that a sensor was present, similar to the Futaba/OS BPS-1.
What now?

Glogo - Dampeners / Aggressive Flying - PLEASE READ (1 reply)

Hello Guys,

As the Glogo has been on the market now for just under 6 months now, I have been hearing about all the suggestions, issues, and stories from consumers.

I have started to detect a recurring issue with people not understanding how dampening works and what they need to do if they are an "aggressive" pilot.

Dampeners in the head range from soft to hard and each have benefits/ downfalls. If you have softer dampeners, the model will fly smoother, and won't have bobbles at low rpm. If you have hard dampeners the model will feel more rigid/ locked in yet less smooth, and you can get bobbles at lower RPMs.

All Mikado helicopters come with a medium stiffness of damper which works well generally at low rpm, as well as high rpm and is a good balance that will work for the majority of pilots on the market. I tested the model with these medium dampers and flew it very hard still and didn't have any issue with boom striking, and it also performed very well at low RPM. However!!! If you are a VERY aggressive pilot who does a lot of quick cyclic inputs then the medium dampeners might not be stiff enough for you!!! If you are an aggressive pilot then you MUST upgrade to the "Hard Damper" set which Mikado sells. Link Below

https://shop.mikadousa.com/04617-O-ring-damper-set-hard-LOGO-600-SX_p_613.html

The closest thing I can relate this to is suspension systems in a car. When you buy a car, it comes with a softer suspension so that the ride is nice and smooth for the average driver. But if you want to take this car around the track and race it then of course one of the first things you are going to need to change is the suspension! It is the same with dampeners for model helicopters.

Hope this helps, and wish all of you lots of happy flying!

Best Regards,

The one way bearing on the starter shaft is very tight, even in perfect alignment, to the point that with the engine idling, forcing the starter coupling to stop spinning with the starter wand will almost kill the engine. The has been addressed by Kyle Dahl on the Vstabi forum for Glogo and I have posted the issue on there. I have received no response. I am flying the heli with the starter one way locked up for all practical purposes but it is not right. How do I contact someone in Mikado who actually will reply? Thx, Bob.

Hi nitro lovers,
I had a hard thime to remove one way on the third
Mainchaftblock, I think the tolerances are a little to narrow?
What I also noticed is that there is no chim between the one way(4876) bearing and the taildrive pulley(4873).
On the 690 there is one.
Because off that I had a verry hard thime to desasembe the pin that hase to go threw the mainchaft holding the alu pulley that was wearing in and blocked on the mainchaft.
I put an litle chim between one way and pulley to fix the problem.
I came to this constatation because my one way was blocking after every flight.
After I loosen the bolts that holding the bearing block and tighten back ,it was free every thime but still blocked after flight.

Hope my problem is gone now, I am waiting from good weader.

All,

I maidened my GLOGO this past weekend - what a great flying model.

After the first 5 flights, I'm noticing a clicking noise coming from the main shaft area. It was first apparent as I was spooling down, but I am also able to replicate it on the bench when spinning the rotorhead. I can both feel and hear the clicking. The model was built exactly per the manual, and I'm wondering if anyone can advise what the issue may be, or if this is normal, and I should just fly it?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hey guys,

I noticed the kit my buddy received (first 50) and mine being part of the second batch. His tail fin is the bright orange and blue like the logo 690 kits and my kit has the orange strip on the fin much like the logo 700 kit. Is there a reason the fins are different color with the second batch? I’d prefer the orange and blue fin personally.

Second question, I am wanting to run Xpert R3hvs low profile servos on the cyclic. Does anyone know if there are any mounting issues with these?

I appreciate the input.

Thanks,

Glogo 690 engine mounting frame slots (1 reply)

I have just bought the new glogo kit and i’m not impressed with the slots in the frame for the engine mount bolts. The slots look to be already incorporated at the factory, but the problem is the size of them, they look like they have just been filed out freehand, so the holes are quite oversize. With the bolts loose, the engine mount is moving around the oversize hole, or slots if you prefer all over the place. This will not make engine alignment great.

Not what you would expect from a new machine of this pedigree that’s for sure.

My question is will mikado be replacing these frames for people with early production kits. I have not started to build it yet, and if i’m honest, i’m loathed to with it like this.

The other issue is with the engine mount pushed all the way down the slots as the note suggests, the lower plate mounting holes are lower than the u/c mounting holes. Putting a little twist in the plate is not great either.

I noticed on this forum someone else has asked the question about the frames being replaced, sadly it has not been answered, so i’m sorry for asking the same question again...
Are the 3 so supposed to be extras or should I use a couple more to make it a bit tighter ?
