Today I've experienced sudden lack of power on the blades while doing pitch pumps. I've setup RPM to 2100 on Raw 700 and suddenly I couldn't move up. I've quickly landed and examined the graph (attached). At the end of the flight there's a peak of RPM to 2500 but at the same time current dropped. Does graph confirm behaviour observed during OWB failure?

I have a Goosky RS4 Venom, with a Hobbywing v5 80A ESC, with a VBAR EVO and Control Touch.

I'm having an issue where the displayed battery % is incorrect, which I think is being caused by the current telemetry being under recorded. I'm using 6s, 2200mah batteries, and after a 7 minute flight, the telemetry shows 578mAh consumed and a max current of 13.2A.

Everything else is working great with this setup, but I'm new to the Mikado ecosystem and feeling a bit lost on this point!

The TX has online services and cloud services activated and also stores the flights locally in the Tx, just nothing in the cloud.
Any suggestions?

I have a V-Bar Control EVO with a Goblin Raw 500 equipped with a V-Bar EVO Flybarless Unit. The heli also has a Hobbying v4 Platinum 120a ESC, X-Nova Motor, X-Pert Servos for cyclic and KST Servo for Tail. This Heli was built in September 2023 with all new components including the V-Bar EVO. I flew it 4 times that year.

Last year, in August 2025, I had a crash with this heli after apparently losing signal. I really didn't have time to check out the cause at the time, but I did download the logs which are attached. After looking at the logs it looks like there are a number of warning entries that say "RC Input Packet Lost" and then ultimately a critical entry that says "RC Failsafe has been activated". This was apparently where the final loss of signal loss occurred resulting in the crash.

The log also has at least one other prior full flight where these warnings did not occur. So I am at a lost as to what may have happen, especially because this was a new build.

Please also note, that I have 7 V-Bar Neos that I've never experienced this issue. This is my only EVO and this happened in less than 10 flights.

I am concerned since I am not sure what could have caused the signal disconnect. I am leaning toward the unit itself as I have never had issues with the NEOs and I know there have been issues with the V-Bar EVO upon release requiring fixes.

I also have the Battery Logbook app installed and checked. However, I do not get the battery logbook icon nor does the Vcontrol evo ask me about the battery I am using on either model. I have tried uninstalling the battery logbook app and re-installing it, but no luck. What could be the issue. I have followed all the steps in various videos, and I know that my hobbywings are capable of supporting the battery telemetry. I have seen videos with the exact HW models utilizing the battery logbook.

I have just bought an EVO which bound fine but when updated to V8 Pro Rescue, The EVO appears connect but the VBC Touch screen goes Black.
Once the Evo is powered down, the Screen recovers.

Help please.

I'm actively using 2 VCE. I've tried to sync data between them via the cloud but in the process I've deleted all my battery data. Is it possible to restore it? I don't want to sync the data between VCE anymore :-) just restore battery information to know how many cycles batteries have and how old are they.

I've only flew / hovered a few times trying to get things dialed in.

One of the first things I noticed was when adding UP or DN elevator it is very "notchy" when moving foreword and backward during hovering. I tried changing some settings but it remained. I decided to see how it behaved on the bench / no motor and the cyclic fore and aft servos were also moving a bit notchy by themselves. I moved everything around to the full extents a few times and now it moves normal & flies normal.

Very strange and I hate it when things go unsolved. Do you think its possible that there is antenna interference on the cyclic servos, the wires are pretty close at the moment. Is my setup too messy, would love to hear your thoughts.

I think OK but wanted to make sure since I believe the style is now missing from the transmitter menus but its still in the PC software.

Also, when in setup adjusting the cyclic to 8 degrees I have had 2 times when the EVO rebooted and went into bootloader mode since the USB was plugged in. I have a Mikado capacitor backup and I have to unplug that from the EVO to turn the system off. Very strange that it rebooted since I have the 05584 VBar Control Power system.

I cannot seem to get the HobbyWing icon to show up on the transmitter.

Things I've tried so far-
I purchased the HobbyWing programmer and updated to the latest firmware, PL-04.1.01 (I see no vbar version like in so many vids I've watched).

I went into telemetry on the TX and toggled temp sensor on and off.

I've made sure I'm up to date on Mikado firmware.

Double checked all wiring (see attached images incase I messed up).

Please help.

The issue, the Vbar controller kept intermittently switching from Master to Buddy numerous and consecutive times.

What’s the probability that Switch 1 is intermittent / bad without opening the radio and checking with an ohm meter OR it’s a bug in the V8 / V7 firmware.

The thought only crossed my mind after but I could have bind the VBCt and/or the VBCe V7 firmware as the Master to the heli (NEO) but I didn’t tried that method to rule out a firmware bug.

The app shows error and when opened it shows Vbackup overload/undervolt.
The system seems to be working correctly but I am reluctant to fly with any sort of error.
I have unloaded and reloaded all apps without success.
It is the same on all all 4 of my models x3 NEO & EVO so defo not an issue with the VBACKUP / FBL units.
Any help appreciated, I would happily roll back the update if this is an option.

Mikado Evo V1 - FW. v8.1.36 All all servos moving in sync in a circle like motion. I isolated the Evo by removing the FBL mount setting on top a soft foam to completely isolate the FBL from the heli. The servo do not move the slightest or show symptoms. So my last thought is the chip is heavily distorted by the smallest vibration.
While the Evo is mounted and I input control the symptoms stop, when I sit in a hover the symptoms appear again.

Mounted to the heli, Vib log indicates everything under (50) everything seams really smooth.

This was driving me crazy, Never crashed, though it was the was the swashplate changed the bearing. Changed the main shaft. These parts were worn over a good year of use. All in all everything is perfect.

Has to be vibration related, but I cannot think of anything else to do ????
