I have some questions about my setup;

-Trex 550L dominator
-Hobbywing platinum 100A esc
-Spektrum iX14
-Vbar standard blueline silverline

I have a 3-position switch for idle-up modes; position 1 i have throttle from 0-100,position 2 a straight line 88% (about 2000rpm headspeed) and position 3 a straight line 93% (about 2100rpm headspeed)

The problem is,when i switch between idle-up modes there is no delay so from lower rpm it immediately goes to high rpm and vice versa.

Where can i setup a delay so it goes smooth switching between idle-up modes?

And can i just add expo on the tail in the TX or do i have to do that in the Vbar program on PC?
The same question for adjusting cyclic throw?

I was out of hobby for long time and now I start to get back in again. I have two Vbar Mini controllers. I know there was an android application for tuning the Vbars in field, but I cannot find it anymore. What are the suggestion for this? I really do not want to take the laptop with me (actually I do not have one).

The current Mikado shop seems to not have any existence of 5.3 Pro software. I get this message when clicking the "Purchase Firmware Version Gaui 5.3 Pro" link from the VStabi.info website:

Everything is set correctly in the software , servo directions , pitch , etc, etc,,,
The heli is flying well except some turns with wind laterally make a very stressed wag
I don't see where to invert the pre comp in the software hopping this is the problem

I've downloaded the recovery firmware and successfully installed it on a mini vbar. At least, it seems I have.

The led on unit wouldn't turn on.

Then, I tried do an online update on file>online update. The window displaying the available uploads is shown, I click on the 6.0.7 version, and, finally, on the LOAD button.

I would expect the upload to begin, but all I get is the message attached.

The unit won't power on (no green/red/... light) anymore.

Can someone help, please?

I need to transfer a mini-vbar to a new owner and I wonder how to do it, please.

In the screen in attachment, I entered the serial number and the old owner mikado ID. Then, I received a message that said that the transfer would be completed in a few minutes (or so), but nothing happened. The unit still does not appear in the new owner's "my devices" listing.

What am I missing, please?

Also, once the transfer is done, will I have to download the license key to proceed with the setup of the unit?

I have a FrSky Taranis QX7 transmitter and FrSky RX6R receiver. I want to connect it to a Mikado mini Vbar. I have tried connecting to Sbus by using the supplied cable and connecting the standard servo cable on the sbus to RX C on Vbar. In Vstabi I select Futaba sbus. Nothing happens and I cannot see any control input.

I run on ACCST V1 on the FrSky. I have changed the channel order in the TX to AETR to match the standard Futaba. The Vbar is connected to a Trex 450. I have flown it with a spectrum satellite, but that was borrowed, so want to use my FrSky equipment. Everything is kept as it was with satelite, except reciever in RX C and unplugged the satelite.

I'm completely new to RC helicopters.

In the governor set up tabs it asks about "max head speed, gear ratio, sensor configuration", the max speed for the 470 is 3298 but as a sport flier i want to bring that down which isnt a problem. The gear ratio for the 470 @ 11:1:3.71 however is a problem as the entry field glows an angry red if i attempt to input that number - i have thought about using "." instead of ":" but thought i would get confirmation before hand.

The sensor configuration is in need of clarification too, the only info i could find for my motor is "Magnet Poles:8" i gather that this is the correct information and according to the info on the setup tab i need to half that.

I have a mini vbar that is not powering on at all when I connect it to a 6V power supply. It seems to be dead.

It was handed to me recently so I don't know what happened to this unit before.

Is the unit definitely damaged? Or, can it be fixed somehow?

I have gone through the process of loading the old vstabi 5.3.4 software and getting a screenshot of the software running and showing the serial number; and submitting via the 'old vbar' link with the screenshot attached.

Now, I'm just curious how long there is to wait. I'm too spoiled with the instant registration of new devices. Is there a long review process? Or I'm just asking outside of business hours now and must wait until after the weekend?

The problem is that yesterday I went to test it and I noticed that when I was going to land the helicopter made a strange cyclic movement from left to right very fast (luckily nothing happened and I was able to land without any problem).

When I got home I checked the Vbar logs and I could see that the Vbar was reporting a lot of problems.

The question is this, I have tried another Vbar Full Size unit that I have and it also gives me the same problems in the log (with the helicopter at home with no main or tail blades on).

Finally I tried a Mini Vbar and it didn't give any kind of problem in the LOG, so why is it that the 2 Full Size are reporting these serious problems and the Mini Vbar is not reporting them?

I thought it might be a problem with the static but... why the Mini VBAR doesn't and the FULL SIZE does?

I leave the attached Logs, both the Full and the Mini.

I go to Online Update, select Version 5.3 PL 4 Pro and click Infos..
This takes me to the Vstabi site which says "This device has already a V5 pro license!"

if i try and purchase directly on the Mikado site it says
"The serial number 1510015990 does not correspond with the item Vstabi you chose.

Any advice would be appriciated.

I have a standard vbar on 5.2 but have the 5.3 software on my pc for my other vbars. I tried doing the online firmware update to 5.3.4 looked at the video (but that was to upgrade to pro) and couldn't see where i was going wrong or how to proceed. I then used the recovery software for firmware and loaded it to the vbar, a whole load of tick boxes appeared after loading which i duly ticked and tried to bind which failed every time. Now when i fire up the software and connect the vbar there is no bind box and my tx doesn't move anything on the heli. How do i proceed please?

I just upgraded from a Logo 500 to a Logo 550 SX, and am using a YGE 90LV as the ESC/BEC and the Blue Mini V-Bar, with SAVOX SC-1257 digital servos. This setup worked fine in that 500 but I’m concerned that the voltage/current might not be adequate for the 550. Based on the excellent information you provided in the thread above, will using a 2s LiPo or LiOn work for me? A fully charged 2s LiOn outputs 8volts in my experience.

I have 2x mini Vbar currently on firmware V6.0.7 in use with my VBC classic and would like to update the firmware on them.

I have downloaded the recovery file to then restore v5.3 so I can later load the newest v6.?.?
However I can't get either mini vbar to connect to the setup program to load the recovery firmware.
My steps have been:
1. start the Vstabi setup program.
2. connect the mini vbar to the PC via USB, no power, no receiver or other connections on the mini.
NOTE: at this time I get green USB, Red no connection in the setup window.
3. load the recovery file and power up the mini vbar when initialisation begins.
4. Setup fails with timeout trying to send data to the unit.

My PC is running up to date Windows10 home version and I'm logged on the PC as admin.
I have tried reloading the vbar control manager package and also reinstalling drivers.
I have also tried different USB cables and different usb ports on the PC.
Vbar setup connects with my V1 NEO for update, so I believe the setup software and USB interface are OK.

I've searched online for other cases like this and it seems maybe theres still a driver problem?

Can you offer guidance on how I should proceed?

I have a vbar mini running on 5.32b, with 2 spektrum sats. All of a sudden I have a problem with the initialisation, the sats go solid but the V on the Vbar flashes and then the swash bounces 34 times, the V stays flashing but everything works?????

I have rebound it, tried different sats, tried different servos, ran through the program again, there are only tiny trims set in the program.

Im totally lost, is the unit passed its sell by date?
