How can I use the Bat ID to recognise a 12S (2x 6s 5000 in series) battery pack? Is it in fact automatic or is there some Mikado magic that must be used?

Choose 12S with 5000 and you're fine.

Hi,

and if you would want to use the packs as 6s, too, you could use different ID Tags, attached to different surfaces of the packs.

One tag to be recognized for the 12s which faces the sensor on the 12s model, and one different tag each which faces the sensor on the 6s model.
