VBasic and crossover buddybox

Hi guys

I am unable to getting my VBasic Rx to do crossover buddyboxing.

I have a spare Neo with Pro software and it works perfectly, buddy boxing onto my Futaba and Spektrum radios.

The Mikado website says the VBasic is "ready" for buddy boxing and crossover buddy boxing.

Do i have to download something or buy some upgrade?

Hi Paul,

strange but I can replicate it here: if I set the Digital Input to SBus and assign the external channels, I can get VBasic to listen to the Futaba radio-receiver _if_ VBar Control is not turned on/bound. Once VBar Control is on, it's the one and only master. No matter how I set a single cell (Tail for example), I seem not to get it to work, only if I fix the input as a Channel to Ex Tail (external tail channel input) it listens to the Futaba radio but only to that one.

I'm curious what the 'gurus' say

Thanks for your feedback. I am glad you can replicate it....thought it was me doing silly things!!!!

Hope we can find a solution.

It is for my son's first plane and i really don't want to spend $$$ to upgrade to Pro. The plane cost less than the software would.

I was taught to fly on mode 1 and want to teach him on mode 2. VBar Control makes this easy. I may just buy a second VBC Tx!!!!

If my kids show some interest in RC, i will buy a second VBC.

For now, i would prefer to get the crossover buddy box facility to work onto my Spektrum Tx.

Hi,

one option would be to use macrocells and multiplexer cells for the channels in question, but that would bypass anything else if the buddy is at the wheel.
What type of model are we talking?

It has an Esc, elevator, rudder and 2x ail servos.

I will try again tomorrow.
I will load VPlane onto my spare Neo Pro and keep the VBasic Rx for another project.

I had tested it as a 'helicopter' Neo and it worked perfectly, so hopefully with VPlane loaded it will be good.

with VPlane it should work.

Anyway - we'll keep an eye on the Vbasic with the next update here ;-)

I set it up with my VPlane and, as expected, it works perfectly.

All i need, is for it to stop raining here in Dubai..... the one day/year of rain would have to be today!!!

I will keep a lookout for a VBasic update. Thanks.
