VBar firmaware 6.0.1 or 6.0.x what's new?

Since this part of the forum is a Café can we talk about the new vbar 6.0 that is coming out? What we will see?
i think the first thing is Vbar Control compatibility BUT what else? Any new features?

Yes, the main change is the VBar Control compatibility, which requires a complete reorganization of the storage model. But thats something more or less hidden.
An advanced synchronization enables quicker reaction on inputs with VBar Control.

The main algortihm has some perfomance enhancements, that make the heli more stable on very hard collective inputs, and it feels smoother overall.
Additional coupling between the Gov, the Tail and the Swashplate algorithms provide better adaption i.e. if the mainrotor is overspeeding, or at bank switches.
A new size parameter combines the 5.x XXtreme, Scale and Standard Version into one.

Where is the download link?

Its not finished yet, a lot of development has to be done for the PC Software, and even other setup tools.

@Ulli: Vielleicht denkt ihr ja mal an eure "treuen Kunden", und bietet eine Art "Volumenlizenz" zB für 5+ Stabis oder so an

Müsste ja jetzt mit eurer super Registrier-Datenbank logistisch möglich sein?

Hi,

no worries, they will come together, and hopefully soon. With VBar Control, you won't need the PC software or other setup tools like Control Panel, Android, remember?

Jetzt mach kein sch... ! Ist das wirklich so? Mal gut, das ich noch keine Stabis für meine anderen Helis geordert habe... Von solchen Geschäftsmodellen halte ich gar nichts. Ist schon blöd genug mit dem Kauf der Pro-Version. Ist mir auch ein Rätsel, das man die Stabis nicht nur bzw auch mit "Pro-Version" verkauft. Auf die paar Euro kommt es nicht an und haben wollen die meisten das eh.

ähm, sorry, aber Dein Argument verstehe ich gerade nicht? Es geht also absolut nicht um's Geld sondern um den reinen Vorgang des Kaufens?

Ist eben nervig, wenn man erst ein Stabi kaufen muß und danach immer wieder für irgentwelche Updates zahlen muß (wird richtig nervig, wenn kein PayPal genutzt wird). Das es auch anders funktioniert zeigen ja genügend andere Hersteller. Bei Preisen von 300€+ sollten kostenlose Updates drinne sein. Für mich ist das zumindest ein Grund auch mal andere Stabis zu testen. Auch wenn ich die Funktionen von V-Stabi sehr schätze.

Damit muß man aber rechnen, wenn man vorab Videos und kurze Infos gibt...
Leider kann ich nicht zur Rotor. Bin aber gespannt welche Infos dann kommen. Solang warte ich halt mit den Stabis...

Will v6 be made available as a free update for current pro users?

Currently V6 is only available and useful in combination with VBar Control. This is a technical restriction, its not because of we want to punish anybody...
Later a V6 will be available for other systems as well, buts its to early to forsee how this will look. I hope that this will clear up this summer.

Hi,

development was made with regard to the VBar Control, seamless integration, and the telemetry/direct programming and safety features in this combination.

Stripping it from all the ties to VBar Control and the telemetry/direct programming parts, and stringing it to all the receiver variations plus changing the PC software, control panel software and Android software accordingly takes up a lot of hours, plus all the field testing until we can safely release it again.

If it was just replacing one formula with a different one, we would already have done it

Eddi, why not still make v6.x available on the silverline (without Vbar Control transmitter) with the understanding that we will not be able to use telemetry/direct programming? That's ok; we want the new/updated algorithms (control loop, etc.).

Isn't ok to have the Vbar Control features in the background as unused while installed on the silverline (without Vbar Control transmitter)? And then be able to make the same standard changes via USB cable, bluetooth module, or control panel?

Is it truly THAT integrated that the standard settings cannot be accessed via usb, etc.? Again, I don't care about telemetry, and I don't care about making the telemetry to work with other transmitter systems.
I ONLY care about the augmented control loop & algorithms.

I don't think that is too much to ask for, because right now it appears pilots are stuck with v5.3 unless they purchase the Vbar Control transmitter. I ask for a bit more versatility, please.

there are technical limitations, otherwise we would have made it 'all for all' in the first place.
