Align T-Rex 600 nitro

Equipped with:
Align .55 motor
Hatori muffler
OS No. 8 glow
30% nitro fuel
Align flybarless main head (stock)
Edge main and tail blades
3 Align DS 610 on swash (stock)
1 Align DS 620 on tail (stock)
1 Futaba S9254 on throttle
RPM sensor from align governor (stock)
Align BEC for servos and rc at 2s (stock)

Mikado blueline standard VBar
Firmware 5.2.4 Pro Governor
Futaba T8 transmitter
Futaba S-Bus receiver


Changes that mus be done to use the sensor:
Cut the align plug away and solder the 3 wires to a old servo cable in the following way

Sensor ------ Servo plug
white --- orange or white (signal lead)
red --- black or brown (-)
black --- red (+)

Thats all you need to do using this sensor on the fan.
The sensor is plugged into the "Sensor II" socket, the throttle servo into the "Servo" socket.

The transmitter has been set up this way:

Switch SG (right top) for normal and AR with Bailout:
- Switch pulled towards pilot: Flight mode normal, Motor at low idle, Bank 0, Motor off switch and throttle trim active at full stick down
- Switch in mid position: Flight mode AR, Motor at enhanced idle, Bailout armed, Bank 0
- Switch pushed away from pilot: Flight mode Idle 1-3 depending on the SE, Motor at VBar control, RPM requested, Bank1-3

Switch SE (left top) for changing idle modes / flight conditions:
- Switch pushed away from pilot: Flight mode Idle 1, Motor at VBar throttle curve, headspeed 1700 1/min requested, Bank1
- Switch in mid position: Flight mode Idle 2, Motor at VBar throttle curve, headspeed 1800 1/min requested, Bank 2
- Switch pulled towards pilot: Flight mode Idle 3, Motor at VBar throttle curve, headspeed 2100 1/min requested, Bank 3

Please take note that the SG (AR) switch must turn the system safely into AR / Bailout at every position of the SE (Idle mode) switch. Therefore use the logical switches.

Throttle channel at all 4 flight conditions.

Note: Auto is a enhanced idle to be over -90% in Vbar (Bailout enabled). All RPMs are done by banks. This could also be done all at one bank with different throttle "flat" curves height (80-100%)

Latest Setup Files based on:

T8 Firmware 5.0
VBar 5.3.1 pro in combined mode

Switches on T8:

SH - Motor off - has highest priority - could be used from every flight condition at any collective stick position on all Banks

SG - towards pilot - Normal - Motor running in idle for starting only -Bank 0
SG - mid - Autorotation - Motor running in enhanced idle for better spoolup at bailout - could be set in AR menue - Bank 0
SG - down - Flight Mode control by SE - Bank 1,2,3

SE - down - Bank 1 - 1700 RPM
SE - mid - Bank 2 - 1850 RPM
SE - up - Bank 3 - 2100 RPM

I've added the T8 file as zip and the banks as vbr files.


Important hint:

As we have a limit at -90% throttle input signal in the VBar the normal Idle throttle value including trims must be kept below this. The enhanced idle throttle must be from -90 to -1% - i prefer around -70% for a bit faster response on aborting autos.

So ... please use my files and set the throttle rod length to a closed carb when pulling the SH switch or using the collective control mode. Adjust only the full throttle value in Gov2 with the use of collective control mode.
